Laura has gone to be with the love of her life, William Walter Trombley (Billy) in Phoenix, Arizona. She passed away Sunday November 24, 2024 with her nieces by her side. Laura was born January 3, 1935 in Trieste, Italy.
Laura is survived by her two Sisters
Grazia (Norman) Zalfa, Uucha Morris and many nieces & nephews. Everyone will definitely miss her many stories and that Italian accent.
Laura & Bill were Married in 1952 in Trieste. Since Bill was active military they traveled and lived on different army bases across Europe and the U.S. Then settling in Sault Ste Marie Michigan.
They became snowbirds on Bill's full retirement settling in Pioneer RV Park in Phoenix, Arizona. When Billy passed away, Laura moved permanently to Pioneer RV Park in Arizona and sold their Sault Ste Marie home on Croy Ave. Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan.
Laura was a very active crafter and teacher of her crafts. She received many ribbons for her wood carvings, paintings, with Jewelry making being another of her passions. Thousands of Necklaces were made. Gourds and Silver smithing were crafts that peaked her interest too.
Predeceased by her parents, Giuseppe and Nicolini Maggio, niece Roberta Hennassey, nephews Nicholas Mayer, Mark Bergeron, Glen Bergeron, Gary Bergeron, Christopher Behnke.
As per Laura's request there will be no funeral service. Cremation has taken place at Palm Valley Funeral Home.
A Celebration of life will be held January 18, 2025 from 2:00 till 5:00 pm at the Pioneer Park Community building.
Laura will be interned at the Phoenix Veterans Memorial with the love of her life, William Trombley on
January 17, 2025 at 9:30 AM with the Patriot Warriors leading the way.
Donations in her honor may be made to the charity of your choice or Desert Valley Hospice, Phoenix Az.
