Laura was born December 11, 1958, in Maquoketa to Kenneth Keith and Alta (Stowers) Kenniker, Sr. She graduated from Maquoketa High School and received her associate's degree in computer programming. Laura married Carl "Al" Wade on July 20, 2010, at their home in Maquoketa.
Laura and Al were owner/operator truck drivers for their company, A & L Transport, for many years, logging millions of miles together. Laura also sold insurance and worked for her family's business, Kenniker Office Supplies.
Laura loved being on her farm and working with her horses. She also enjoyed spending as much time with her family as possible.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband Al Wade of Maquoketa; her son Nathaniel "Nate" (Reba) Curley of Maquoketa; her dogs and best friends, Jack and J.J., as well as her 3 grandpuppies. She was preceded in death by her parents Kenneth and Alta Kenniker.
A private family service will held at a later date. Cremation rites have been accorded.
