It is with deep sorrow that we share the passing of Laura Ann Winnett on September 27th 2025.
Laura was born June 7, 1960, to parents Culbert Ray and Edna Mae King in Salt Lake City, Utah. She graduated from Viewmont High School and later returned to school where she earned her master’s degree.
She has worked for Cookie Tree Bakery for 15 years and A&K Railroad for the last year and half until she could not continue working. She was diagnosed with lung cancer October of 2024, she fought courageously until she couldn’t fight any longer.
Laura loved to cook and bake for any occasion; she had a passion for anything to do with crafts. If she wasn’t in her woodwork shop making gifts, she was designing and printing on shirts, hoodies, and tumblers, anything to print on, she could do it. Her goal was to print and sell 5,000 shirts and hoodies with her website, and weekend tent sales. She almost made it! If she wasn’t crafting, she would be fishing, traveling with her best friend and husband Kenny with 30 years of marriage, dancing and enjoying the numerous concerts with family and friends with all the tickets she won on the radio. She wanted to enjoy the time she had left on this earth doing her bucket list, she went mountain climbing, deep sea fishing, jumped out of plane sky diving with the biggest smile we have ever seen, and bungy jumped from the Vegas Stratosphere.
She is survived by her husband Kenneth L. Winnett, daughter Misty Allyn Turner, Stepson Erek Winnett and daughters in law Cynthia Winnett in UT, Taryn Taylor in UT. Brothers Warren (Stacy) lives in PA and Lee King, lives in FL, Sister Lisa (Bill) Earl in UT, Neice Tyra Lamberton, Nephews Cory, Shane and Kyle King, Many Grandkids, great nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held on October 9th, 2025 at Russon Mortuary, 295 N. Main Street, Bountiful, UT from 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be October 10th, 2025 at The Church of Jesus Christ, 840 N. 800 W., West Bountiful, UT viewing at 9:45 - 10:45 am followed by service at 11:00 am.
