Laurel Sue Ramoser passed away peacefully at the age of 66 after a long-fought battle with cancer, on Friday, October 31, 2025, while at home with her devoted husband of 24 years by her side. Laurel was born on June 10, 1959, the daughter of the late James and Gloria Matteoni.

"Turtle", as she was lovingly called by her husband Rick, loved animals, gardening, cooking (and eating), classic rock, Harry Potter, and big backyard bonfires. Her career in food service was apt, as she was a born nurturer and host. Laurel was a fierce advocate for social justice and was a natural with children of all ages – hilarious yet compelling, with a repertoire of silly voices and Looney Tunes references at the ready. She instantly made you feel welcome and at-ease, and had a special magic about her that made everything more fun, more special, and more joyful.

She is survived by her adoring and big-hearted husband Rick Ramoser and their beloved trio of pups (Charlie, Lucy, and Otis), her loving siblings Pamela (Alan) and James (Bryon), her dear father-in-law Walter Sr., her caring siblings-in-law Walter Jr. and Lisa (Roger), her cherished nieces and nephews Elizabeth (Eugene), Katherine (Jeremy), Anthony (Lauren), Vincent, and Karlie, and her treasured grand-nephews and grand-nieces lucky enough to call her "Grauntie Lo": Ethan, Olivia, Layla, and Colin. She is now undoubtedly surrounded by the friends and family who passed before her.

In lieu of flowers, Laurel would have loved any and all donations be sent to Starfish Animal Rescue (http://www.starfishanimalrescue.com).
