Survivors include her children, Robert "Robby" Ward, Jr., and his wife, Tess, of Silsbee and Simberly Modica and her husband, Thomas, of Katy; grandchildren, Sean Ward, Shane Ward, Justin Ward, T. J. Modica, and Reid Modica; and sister, Peggy Hinds of Athens.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Ward; her parents; and brothers, Joe Hester and Horace Hester.
A gathering of Mrs. Ward's family and friends will begin at 12:00 p.m., with her funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Friendship Baptist Church, 3601 Cooks Road, Silsbee. Her interment will follow at Old Hardin Cemetery, Kountze, under the direction of Broussard's, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.

Simberly and Robby - I had spoken with her just a few weeks ago and then we missed each other. She was always sending a kind word in a card to the church about someone or leaving a message asking for prayer. She was a very sweet lady. We are so sorry for your loss! Sincere prayers and thoughts for you and your family at this time of loss.
