Laurie Butcher Marston
March 6, 2024
I met Laurie in 1963 when our family moved to Pittsford. She was so welcoming and warm to the new kid in high school. We remained friends, despite the geographic distance separating us. She was always upbeat, optimistic and kind. She was one of those rare people that thought about the other person first and was happy to help any time. She never complained during her illness and faced it with courage and grace. To Roger, Nick, Becky, Rubin, Chris, Danny and Allison: know that she loved you very much. My deepest condolences.

Laurie was one of the sweetest people I knew growing up. ALWAYS more interested in me than talking about herself! Laurie had a friendly smile and was happy to see me.
A very humble, loving friend.
Holding on to these wonderful memories of you, Laurie!

I remember Laurie very fondly. She dated my brother many times in high school and I was along for a double date with her often. She had a party once at her home and served what I called. Sloppy Joe´s only to find out that she called them, Wimpy, and, to my great surprise, Put the wimpy material both inside the bun and all over the top of the bun. To this day I still have the recipe she made out back in 1967 and I make it often. I was so sorry to hear of her death is she always had a smile on her face and a kind word for everyone .
