Laurence R. Durso

It is with great sadness that the family of Laurence Durso announces his passing after a courageous battle with cancer, on Monday, October 6, 2025, at the age of 77.
Laurence was born on November 4, 1947, in Manhattan, NY. He was raised in the Bronx and relocated to Bayside Queens, NY, where he graduated from Bayside High School.
Laurence was an incredibly hard-working man who was respected by all who worked with him. His career started out at Equitable Life Assure, but he later pursued a career in the printing and mailing industry. He worked for Cigna, Prudential and Bowne Digital to name a few.
Laurence was a staple in his hometown of Jackson Twp., NJ. He served as a coach and board member for Holbrook Little League, Jackson Recreation Basketball and Jackson Vics Soccer Club. Laurence was also a proud US Army Veteran who served 18 months in Vietnam working with heavy artillery.
Laurence was predeceased by his parents, John and Leila Durso. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 56 years, Bonnie Andexler Durso; his four children, John Durso (Tara), Michael Durso (Christine), Chrissy Durso and Laura Kirk (Scott). Laurence will also be fondly remembered by his 7 grandchildren who meant the world to him, Dylan, Tyler, Milania, Silvana, Collin, Gianna and Hunter. Also surviving are his sister, Laurane Re (John); his nieces, Traci (Brian, Kaylee and Brian) and Valerie (Stephen); his brother-in-law, Edward Andexler (Valeria and Nicole); and by his sister-in-law, Darylynn Monks (Dale and Dale III).
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his visitation from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Friday, October 10, 2025, at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson, NJ.
