SUTTON – Laurence A. Lyons Junior, 77, passed away peacefully on July 7th, 2025, surrounded by his loving wife and his three sons. Larry will be remembered for his generosity, kindness and thoughtfulness.
Larry is survived by his beloved wife, Natalia, of Sutton; his former wife, Judith Martino, and their three sons, Laurence Anthony IV of Lynnfield, Garrett Andrew and his wife Alexa of Boston, and Jonathan Allen of St. Thomas; He also leaves two stepchildren, Paul Silva and his wife Jennifer and Tania Otis and her husband Scott, his nine grandchildren, a sister, Barbara Weller of TN and his nephew and niece, Christopher Weller of ME and Bethany Weller Scully of TN.
Larry is predeceased by his parents, Laurence A. Lyons SR and Ruth (Dickinson) Lyons and a brother, Richard A. Lyons.
Larry graduated from Oliver Ames High School, in Easton MA, class of 1965, and went on to earn his degree in electrical engineering from Tufts University, class of 1969. He later received his MBA from Boston University, class of 1974.
He was a successful entrepreneur who founded and managed various companies throughout his 40+ year career. Larry was the founder and President of Lyons Associates Inc. and New England Coating Services and partner/shareholder of Jeti, Inc, Amitron Inc., and LPT Inc.
He was a Real Estate Developer in the Merrimack Valley and he also owned a company that bought and sold classic muscle cars.
Beyond his professional achievements, Larry was passionate about life’s finer pleasures. He was an avid skier who frequently visited Jackson, New Hampshire, where he shared his love for the slopes with his family. He had a deep appreciation for classic American muscle cars and spent years collecting them. Larry enjoyed sailing on his boat, the Champagne, and took great pleasure in traveling and collecting fine wines. More recently, in retirement, he spent much of his time in Naples, Florida with his wife Natalia. Larry had an insatiable intelligence and curiosity, approaching everything that interested him with thorough research and deep understanding, earning him a reputation as something of a human encyclopedia.
Family and friends are invited to honor and remember Larry’s life by gathering for a time of visitation on Wednesday, July 16th from 5 to 7 p.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street, Millbury.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, July 17th at 11 a.m. in St. Mark’s Catholic Church, 356 Boston Road, Sutton with burial to follow at Howard Cemetery, Sutton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the donor’s choice or charities related to heart or cancer research
