Laurie Bromwich of Harris passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at Cambridge Medical Center, at the age of 68.

Laurie Jean Mathiesen was born February 25, 1957 to Duane and Dorothy (Mallinger) Mathiesen in Breckenridge, Minnesota.

Laurie is survived by her son Michael (Amanda) Bromwich of Lewis, Wisconsin; grandchildren Ethan LaVenture, Emily Richter both of Elk River; sister Kelly Ann Hokanson of Rush City; sister-in-law Lisa Mathiesen of Harris; nephews Chris Mathiesen, Greg Mathiesen; former husband Gary Bromwich; other relatives and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents Duane and Dorothy Mathiesen; brother David Mathiesen; sister Renee (Cliff) Marable.

Reverend Dr. Vicki VanderVegt will officiate funeral services for Laurie: 11 AM; Saturday, March 15, 2025 with a gathering of family and friends planned for one hour prior to the service, all at the Olson Funeral Chapel in Rush City. The interment will take place in Sunrise Cemetery, Sunrise, Minnesota.
