Laurie Grace Audi (née Diefendorf), beloved for her kind heart, vibrant humor, and unshakable courage, passed away on September 10, 2025, after bravely facing a lengthy illness. Born in Denver, Colorado, on October 6, 1962, Laurie grew up with a deep curiosity of the world around her and caring for others. That passion as an ongoing learner led her to the University of Colorado at Boulder, where she received a Bachelor of Science and graduated from the school's Dental Hygiene program.

Laurie dedicated 25 years to her career as a dental hygienist, where her gentle manner and calming presence earned the admiration of both patients and colleagues. Beyond her clinical work, she was a strong advocate for oral health and preventive care, participating in professional associations and mentoring others in her field.

In her later years, Laurie made her home in Manhattan, Kansas, where she became a treasured member of her community. Her Christian faith was a constant source of strength and peace, guiding her through life's joys and hardships.

Laurie's competitive spirit shone through in her love of games-whether she was on the golf course or playing Scrabble or backgammon at the kitchen table, she played with a passion to win-always accompanied by good humor and countless laughs. Her spirit and playful nature brought joy to every gathering.

Above all, Laurie was devoted to her family. She was a loving wife to her husband, Bruce Goepfert; a caring and supportive mother to her daughter, Megan Bradford (Dan); and a proud grandmother to Celia Jane Bradford. Laurie is also survived by her mother, Gretchen Diefendorf; sister, Ann O'Brien (Tim); brother, David Diefendorf (Bekki); and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and their families who were very dear to her. Her love for family was boundless, and the bonds she built will endure forever.

As we remember Laurie, we celebrate a life filled with love, resilience, and joy. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her-family, friends, and the many lives she touched with her compassion and strength. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit remains a lasting light in our lives.
