Tina Marie Alcorn of Topeka, KS passed away on Sunday, November 9th, 2025. She was born October 1st, 1955, the daughter of Katherin Rusher. She attended Topeka schools and worked many years in various clerical positions.
She enjoyed reading, watching movies, Mexican food, The Wizard of Oz, and was known to have quite the sweet tooth. She loved attending the grandkids' events and delighted in their achievements. She treasured visits with family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her mother Katherin Rusher, siblings Kim Alcorn and David Alcorn, cousin and partner in crime Sandy Bayer, and friend Sherri Hardy, who Tina loved as a sister. Tina is survived by her daughter Rena Barron (Hodison) of Topeka; beloved grandchildren Alexis, Elijah, Gabriella, and Kelsey; siblings Joe Alcorn of New York, NY and Brian (Michele) Alcorn of San Antonio, TX; niece, Katherin Alcorn, and beloved nephew Justin (Casey) Alcorn; nephews Chance and Chase Alcorn and Cody Pollock; James Boucher, who was like a brother to Tina; dear friend Marilyn Koontz; and her beloved cat Ava.
Tina had many challenges in life, and later failing health prevented her from doing many things she would have liked to do, but she never stopped loving life. She will be greatly missed, but it is comforting to know she is now free of pain and is reunited with loved ones forever more.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her honor to Elara Caring Hospice: 901 NE River Rd, Ste 101, Topeka, KS 66616.
A Celebration of Life for Tina will take place at a later date as determined by the family.
