Laurie M. Kraszyk, 67, of Blairstown, passed away on February 7, 2024.
She was born in Paterson, NJ, on August 2, 1956, to Joseph and Jeanne (Schleich) Kraszyk. She grew up in Rutherford and moved to Blairstown in 1983. In 1999 she met the love of her life, Jack, at his brother's horse farm.
Laurie was a bookkeeper for USET in Bedminster, NJ. She got her love of horses from Rutherford, NJ. She spent summers in Port Jervis where she got her first pony, it was love at first sight. Laurie loved to ride and jump horses. Besides her love of horses, Laurie also enjoyed gardening, coloring and beading necklaces and earrings and would wire wrap with beads and give them as gifts to friends and family.
Laurie was survived by her husband of 25 years, Jack Fama, her mother, Jeanne, brother, Ronald (Rosalie), Uncle, Arthur, a niece, Grace (Chris), and two nephews, Ronnie (Jessika), and Andrew (Ada). She was predeceased by her father Joseph.
A period of visitation will be held on Thursday, February 15, from 1-4PM at Newbaker Funeral Home, Blairstown, NJ. Services will be held at Crest Haven Memorial Park, Clifton, NJ, on Friday, February 16, at 1PM, interment to follow.
