Lauryn Renae Neterer

Lauryn Renae Neterer of Battle Creek, MI Lauryn, age 14, a Freshman at Lakeview High School, died unexpectedly Thursday morning, November 6, 2014 at Bronson Methodist Hospital, Kalamazoo, MI. Lauryn, the daughter of Kristina M. Herman and Anthony L. Neterer, was born on February 17, 2000 in Battle Creek. She was active playing soccer; had been a Cheerleader; enjoyed ski club and attended the First Wesleyan Church of Battle Creek. She thoroughly enjoyed being a big sister to Luke and a second mom to the twins, Sam and Ben. When she was not doing her second mom role, she was in the kitchen making and baking foods for the whole family to enjoy. Lauryn's heart was huge as she was always thinking of others through sharing her own clothes to snacks. She was a beautiful, young girl inside and out, who loved taking pictures, which was evident as she was known as the "Selfie Queen." Lauryn is survived by her mother, Kristina M. (Nathan Anthony) Herman of Battle Creek; her father, Anthony L. (Lisa) Neterer of Boca Raton, FL; her brothers, Lucas A. Neterer and twins, Samuel J. and Benjamin Ryan, all at home; maternal grandfather, Kevin J. Herman of Chicago, IL; maternal grandmother, Debra J. (Carl) Mills of Battle Creek; maternal great grandfather, Edward Goodrich of Battle Creek; maternal great grandmother, Betty Herman of Union City, MI; paternal grandfather, John L. Neterer of Battle Creek; her aunts, Angela (Jeremie Coplin) Herman and Sandie Neterer, both of Battle Creek; two uncles, John E. Neterer of Indianapolis, IN and Raymond L. Mowinski of Kalamazoo; three cousins, Jadelyne Neterer, Payten Frey and Kaelyn Frey and a great cousin, Ethan M. Iles. The Funeral Service to celebrate Lauryn's life will be held on Thursday, November 13th at 11:30 a.m. in the First Wesleyan Church, 14425 S. Helmer Road, Battle Creek, MI 49015 with the Rev. James S. Codde, Chaplain of Lifespan Good Samaritan Hospice, officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Battle Creek. Lauryn's family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 12th from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at First Wesleyan Church.
