Lawny Miller Obituary

Lawny Dean Miller, born and raised in Blaine County, passed away on July 9 at the family home west of Chinook. He was born February 14, 1959 in Great Falls the son of Sheri and Lawrence Miller. He spent one summer working for his mom's uncle, Teddy Powell, who gave him the name "Moby Dick the spouting whale" which fit him well! It finally got shortened to Moe which is what most who knew him well called him.

He served his time in the Air Force in the late '70s. Upon discharge spent many years working construction in the Bozeman area before moving back to the Chinook area working on a ranch for Mike Inman north of Chinook. He had an understanding of agriculture which made his parents very proud. Five years ago he moved out to the farm to be near his folks, helping his mother take care of his Dad. He had never married but made many friends who were very special to him. He is survived by his mom, Sheri and brother Alan and wife Kelley, 2 nephews Lucas (Emily) and Justin (Kimberly), a niece Tessa Grace(Ryan) plus numerous great nieces and nephews.
