Lawrence Wayne "Boo" Boullion, Sr. 74, of Lake Charles, passed away Saturday, July 27, 2024, in Shreveport, LA. A native of Lake Charles, Boo was born on September 7, 1949, to James and Izella Boullion. Boo was raised in Southwest Louisiana, a graduate of LaGrange High School and enlisted in the US Army where he retired after 27 years of service.
Boo was passionate about his Cajun Heritage. He was a member of the CFMA, loved hunting, fishing and being surrounded by family and friends, sharing stories about his service to our country. He proudly served during Operation Desert Storm. Boo often donated to various charities including support for Disabled Veterans and was a proud Papa that loved his babies.
Those left to cherish his memory are his son; Lawrence Wayne "Pnut" Boullion, JR. (Sharrie) of Ragley, daughter; Mary Nicole "Nikki" McGee of Elton, son; John Christopher "Chris" Boullion of Ragley, son; Cody Paul Boullion (Tori) of Lake Charles, grandchildren; Kaden, Baylee, Colton (Makenna), Kyah, Ellie, Indie Grace, greatgrandchild; Lydia McGee, sisters; Patricia Boullion Babb and Shelia Boullion. As well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother; James Adam "Jimmy" Boullion, sister; Karen Whitman.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 31, 2024, from 5:00PM until 8:00PM with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00PM, at Johnson Funeral Home, 4321 Lake St. Lake Charles, LA. 70605. Visitation will continue at the funeral home Thursday, August 1, 2024, from 9:00AM until 11:30AM at which time a Rite of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial and military honors will follow the funeral at 1:30PM in the Southwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Jennings.
Pallbearers – Captain Randy Lee, First Lieutenant Rennie Benoit, Staff Sergeant Joey Latour, Specialist Bron Thompson, Specialist Jonathan Fontenot, and Sergeant Major Bob Olenick.
