Betty Joyce Boullion, 84, of Celina, TX, passed away Monday, February 24, 2025 in Celina. Born on November 26, 1940, in Brazoria County, TX, Betty was the daughter of Elvin Ollie and Myrtle Pearl (Brumbelow) Slaughter. The daughter of a carpenter, she grew up alongside her two older brothers and younger sister. She graduated from Columbia High School before beginning her career as a secretary at Dow Chemical.
Betty married Donald White Sr., and together they had two sons, Donald "Sam" Gene Jr. and Duvel White. She and her boys shared a love for family gatherings and outdoor adventures, including boating, camping, and fishing.
Later in life, Betty and Donald Sr. parted ways, and she remarried Ronald Boullion. With this union, she gained four stepchildren and, in time, the grandchildren she adored.
Betty had a deep love for cooking and took great joy in hosting Sunday lunch for her family after church. An avid reader, she could often be found at the library, immersed in a good book. She also loved playing Bunco and had a passion for crafting, especially flower arrangements.
Known for her joyful spirit and love of laughter, Betty was deeply devoted to her family and friends. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life-she taught Sunday school, served as a church treasurer, and cherished singing in the choir, often performing solos. As a member of The Temple Aires at Temple Baptist, she found great joy in music. She also treasured attending church and spending time at Sandy Creek Bible Camp with Ronald.
In 2009, after the passing of her husband, Betty moved to Wylie to be closer to her sons, where she treasured the time spent with her grandchildren, Samuel and Bethany. In her later years, she lived with her son, Sam, and his wife, Amanda, in Gonzales, TX before returning to the North Dallas area to be near family once again.
A month after the passing of her beloved son, Sam, Betty was reunited with him in heaven, along with her other son, Duvel; her husband, Ron Boullion; her sister, Billie; her two brothers, Donald and Earl ; her mother-in-law, Wilmoth White; her first husband, Donald White Sr.; and her parents.
She is survived by her grandson, Samuel White and his wife, Cate, of Dallas, TX; her granddaughter, Bethany Waltman and her husband, Tanner, of Fort Worth, TX; her daughter-in-law, Amanda White; and her great-grandchildren, Calvin and Sophie White.
She is also survived by her stepchildren: Bobby Boullion and his wife, Kim, of Angleton, TX; Paul Boullion and Madison of Tulsa, OK; Teresa Goodwine and her husband, Royce, of Sugarland, TX; and Diann Dannhaus and her husband, Art, of Angleton, TX. Through them she was blessed with nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, all of whom will carry forward her love, faith, and joy in their hearts.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00PM, Saturday, March 15, 2025 at Kessler Park Baptist Church, 1139 Turner Avenue in Dallas, TX. Online condolences may be shared at www.slaymemorialfuneralhome.com.
