Walter Pierre Boullion, 81, of Groves, died Sunday, March 31, 2024. He was born March 20, 1943, in Kaplan, Louisiana, to Edith and Otto Boullion.
Mr. Boullion retired from St. Catherine's School where he served as the custodian. After he retired, he started his own business, Walter's Lawn Service. In his business, he was able to do what he loved most- being outside and serving his community and others. He was a humble man of God. His joys in life were gardening, spending time with his grandchildren, and serving in the Knights of Columbus-especially during lent when he would help with the annual fish fry.
He is survived by his daughters, Julie Boullion Jezek and her husband, Jason, of Richmond, Amy Boullion Flanigan and her husband, Scottie, of Austin, Leslie Boullion Smith and her husband, Eric, of Groves, Carrie Boullion Stephenson and her husband, Bradley, of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee; brothers, Larry Boullion and his wife, Donna, of Lafayette, Louisiana, Wilfred Boullion and his wife, Joan, of Kaplan, Louisiana; sister, Yvette Menard and her husband, James, of Kaplan, Louisiana; grandchildren, Caleb Flanigan, Aaron Stephenson, Ryan Smith, Nicholas Smith, and Olivia Stephenson; and numerous nieces, nephews, godchildren, and other beloved family members.
Preceding him in death are his parents; beloved wife of thirty-one years, Diane DuBois Boullion; and sister, Delores Boullion Broussard.
A gathering of Mr. Boullion's family and friends will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 6:30p.m., Friday, April 5, 2024, at Broussard's, 505 North 12 Street, Nederland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00a.m., Saturday, April 6, 2024, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 211 Hardy Ave, Nederland. His interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Knights of Columbus Council 5145, 315 Hardy Avenue, Nederland, TX 77627.
