He was a beloved brother to Louis (Jean) Cicatelli, and a caring brother-in-law to Michele (John) Takach and Mark (Terry Star) Dorangrichia. His nieces and nephews—Louis, Christina, Brian (Jessica), and Ashley (Dan)—knew him as a fun-loving and humorous uncle who always brought joy into their lives. His great-nieces and nephews—Faith, Logan, Alexa, Piper, and Dominic as well as his mother-in-law Sondra Dorangrichia, —were fortunate to experience his playful spirit and loving presence.
Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Jean (Gariepy) Cicatelli, his father-in-law Tony Dorangrichia, and his sister-in-law Mindy Dorangrichia, along with the rest of his family, will miss his laughter and warmth.
Professionally, Lawrence dedicated over 30 years of service to Boston University, where his commitment and contributions were deeply valued. His retirement marked the end of a distinguished career, but his influence and the memories he created with colleagues and students continued to resonate throughout the university community.
A passionate supporter of Boston University, Lawrence's love for the institution was evident in all he did. His sense of humor was a hallmark of his character, often bringing lightness and joy to those around him. Lawrence's interest in politics reflected his deeply-held belief in civic engagement and the importance of staying informed. Moreover, his enthusiasm for the marching arts showcased his appreciation for the combination of music, performance, and discipline.
