Lawrence Devine II

1942 - 2022

Lawrence E. Devine, II, "Larry," age 79, of Etters, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2022 at his home. He was the loving husband of Karen L. (Albert) Devine; together they shared 34 years of marriage. Larry was born in Washington, D.C. on August 27, 1942 and was the son of the Lawrence E. and Mildred (Shelton) Devine. He graduated from Bishop McDevitt High School in Harrisburg Class of 1960 and proudly served his country in the United States Navy where he served during the Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962. He later retired from the New Cumberland Army Depot in 2007. Larry was a published poet and was an excellent crossword puzzle solver. He also enjoyed listening to oldies music and spending time with his family and friends. Larry's witty nature always brought a smile to all that were surrounded by him, and he will be deeply missed and never forgotten. In addition to his loving wife Karen, Larry is survived by his daughter Stacey Kirkessner; and his grandson Nick Kirkessner. He is also survived by Jenny and Dave Sholly; Pamela (Albert) Coulson; his brother Mike Devine and wife Peggy; and numerous other family members. Funeral services will be held privately by the family under the direction of Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., of East York.
