Lawrence Domme Sr.

Lawrence Dean "Larry" Domme, Sr., 79, Topeka, Kansas, passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2025. Larry was born April 28, 1946, in Topeka, the son of Lawrence and Magdalen Herman Domme, in St. Francis Hospital and was a lifelong resident of Topeka except for a four-year break at the Kansas City Art Institute, where he earned a BFA. Next came a four-year tour of duty in the United States Air Force as a Technical Illustrator. After an honorable discharge, Larry came back to Topeka to serve as an Art Director and Creative Director for various ad agencies and printing companies. Larry was a lifelong avid sports fan of the Jayhawks, Chiefs and Royals. Larry married Jeanette Macht on September 14, 1968, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church; she survives. He is also survived by his children, Amy Henderson (Scott), Larry Domme, Jr. (Jessica) and Lori Price (Brad); grandchildren, Ashley Steenbock (Ethan), Evan Domme, Hunter Henderson, Quinton Price, Hayden Henderson, Alexa Domme and Avary Domme; great-grandchildren, Paisley and Kennedy Steenbock. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Pat Martin. Visitation will be 6 to 7 p.m. Monday, August 18, 2025, at Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, 2801 SW Urish Road, Topeka KS 66614. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 312 NE Freeman Ave, Topeka KS 66616. Private inurnment will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart Church, and sent in care of the funeral home.
