Carol Lee Stout, 89, Topeka, Kansas, formerly of Burlingame, Kansas, passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2025. Carol was born in Topeka, on May 27, 1936, the daughter of Alva and Doris Welliever McEwen. She graduated from Burlingame High School in 1954. She married Dale Stout on May 23, 1954. Carol worked for 40 years at First State Bank of Burlingame and retired as Senior Vice President. She was a member of the TNT Ladies Club of Burlingame. Carol is survived by her children, Lynne Saunders and Kevin Stout (Cindy); grandchildren, Nick Saunders, Brock Saunders, Brett Stout (Katie), Kyle Stout (Kimmie), Lauren Oakes (Wes) and Madison Stout; great-grandchildren, Ashlyn, Kenzie, Miranda, Nora, Jackson, Lillian, Knox, Hudson and Beckett. She was preceded in death by her husband, son-in-law, Mitch Saunders, and her parents. Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, September 12, 2025, at Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, 2801 SW Urish Road, Topeka KS 66614. Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Burlingame Community Cemetery, US-56 and W 181st Street, Burlingame KS 66413. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Burlingame Historical Preservation Society, Inc. and sent in care of the funeral home. Condolences may be sent online to www.kevinbrennanfamily.com.
