DELORES BEVERLY NORTON

Osage City - Delores Beverly Norton, 85, passed peacefully on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at Peterson's Assisted Living in Osage City, Kansas. She was born on July 15, 1940, in Enterprise, Kansas, the daughter of Lester and Mary (Fells) Keim.

Delores grew up on a farm north of Abilene and then near Burlingame. She graduated from Burlingame High School in 1958. She had also lived in Wakarusa, K S, Canton, M O, Holden, MO and Shelton, W A before moving back to Osage City.

Delores was a Homemaker, had managed the Capital Journal Cafeteria in Topeka and she retired from Wal-Mart with the position of cashier. She enjoyed coloring and did fine needle work with embroidery.

Delores was married to Harlan Norton. They later divorced.

Delores was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Mary; by her brother and sister in law, Larry and Roezetta Keim; and by a daughter in law, Marianne Norton.

Delores is survived by her two children, Lester Norton of Kirksville, Missouuri and Michele (Matt) Copelin of Independence, Missouri; her sister, Pat (Jim) Croucher of Vassar; her brother, Duane (Jan) Keim of Harveyville; four grandchildren, Joshua, Jessica, Rylan and Paxton; two step grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Delores will be at 12:00pm on Saturday, August 30, at the Feltner Funeral Chapel in Lyndon. Burial will follow in the Burlingame Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00am until service time.
