Lawrence "Larry" Franklin Dawson, Jr. went to be with his Lord and Savior in the wee hours of June 8, 2024, at Marietta Memorial Hospital surrounded by loved ones.
Larry was born July 20, 1952, to Lawrence "Jeffy" Franklin Dawson, Sr. and Betty Lee (Jackson) Dawson. He served in the US Army from 72-74. He worked at Elston Lumber and delivery for Smitty's pizza.
Larry is proceeded in death by both Parents, his son, William Dawson, sister's Sherry Dawson and Susan Miller, and grandchildren: Carlton Sparks & Ashley Bules.
He is survived by his son Jason Dawson, daughters; Kathy Merrill (Sean), Krixten Bules (Roe), & Demitria Mims; Grandchildren; Elizabeth Fulton (Matt Harris), Tayshawn Brookover (Hippy Lawrence), Micah Merrill, James Snodgrass, Stella McMeekan, Andru Cutshaw (Ashley), AbbyJayne Bules (Wyatt Heiss); Great-Grandchildren, Quentin, Macey, Parker, Willow, Jaycee, Raylin, and Peyton. And three generations of nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank DaVita's Reno Team for the many years of care and the overnight ICU team at Marietta Memorial for their care, kindness, and compassion.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday (June 12) at 2:00 pm at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Fr. Jean Shephard officiating. Burial will follow in East Lawn Cemetery. Family will greet friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8. Messages of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.Lankfordfh.com.
