Lawrence Edward Johnson

Lawrence Edward Johnson, 75 years of age, of Lyles, TN, passed away February 24, 2024, at TriStar Horizon Medical Center.

Lawrence was born October 11, 1948, in Dickson County, TN. to the late, William Raymond and Helen (Pierce) Johnson.

He was a family man, loving his children and grandchildren, but most of all he was a Godly man. He loved his church and adored the little kids within the congregation. He loved to fish, and enjoyed singing, telling jokes, and watching western movies.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Ronnie Johnson; sisters, Barbaraa Hughs and Shirley Patton; and father and mother -in-law, Richard Rhea, and Ruby Pearl Hoffman. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 57 years, Melody Johnson; children, Jenny (Don) Luis, Richard Johnson, and Jessica Leeann Johnson (Daniel Butler); grandchildren, Michael Johnson, Richard Johnson, Jr., Rayne Johnson, Lacie Luis, Anna Luis, and Makina Butler.

Visitation with the family will be at Old Path Bible Baptist Church on Thursday, February 29, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and will resume on Friday, March 1, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service.

Funeral services will be at Old Path Bible Baptist Church on Friday, March 1, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. Bro. Eric Vick will be officiating. Interment will follow in Harpeth Hills Memorial Gardens in Nashville, TN.
