Lawrence Earl Kish

Kish, Lawrence Age 96, Passed October 2, 2023. Beloved husband of the late Thelma. Dearest father of Jan (Frank) Knoll, Larry (Muffy) Kish, Gene (Kathy) Kish, and Al (Shannon) Kish. Devoted and loving G-pa of Brian (Jennifer) Knoll, Jason (Beth) Knoll, Derek (Sandy) Kish, Ryan (Jill) Kish, Danny Kish and Alex (Zach) Taranto. Loving GG of Aiden Knoll, Camden Knoll, Peighton Knoll, Addisyn Knoll, Carsten Knoll, Gracelynn Knoll, Christian Knoll and Sloane Kish. Larry served the US proudly and was an honorably discharged veteran. He then met the love of his life on a baseball field. A story which they loved to share! They were married on November 3, 1952 on the Bride and Groom Show on television and celebrated their 66th anniversary in 2018.
He worked tirelessly to raise a wonderful family. Both he and Thelma set a true example for their children and spouses.
When the grandkids started to arrive, they quickly began to become athletes and Larry and Thelma never missed a beat at attending games, concerts, dance recitals, graduations and soon enough their weddings. They had a deep love of their family, one that matches the legacy of Larry's 96 years.
Today he is reunited with Thelma, dancing pain free! His heart will always continue to be full and his love will remain in hearts forever. May he share that sweet, sweet smile and that beautiful white hair of his with every angel that welcomes him through Heaven's doors – We are sure the first one to be there will be Thelma!
Visitation will be at Wasik Funeral Home, 49150 Schoenherr, Shelby Township on Friday, October 6, from 2 p.m. until the Celebration of Life Service at 7:30 p.m.
