Lawrence Evan Klein

Larry Klein, a cherished resident of Chesapeake, Virginia, passed away peacefully on

September 4, 2025, at the age of 60. Born on July 24, 1965, in the heart of Minnesota,

Larry carried the warmth and kindness of his Midwestern roots throughout his life.

Larry dedicated many years of service to working in Maintenance with Dollar Tree

Distribution, where he was not only a diligent employee but also a friend to many. His

commitment to his work was matched only by his dedication to those around him.

A man of simple pleasures, Larry found great joy in taking care of his beloved Mastiff

dog, a loyal companion who mirrored his gentle and steadfast nature. He was an avid

outdoorsman who relished time spent hunting and fishing, pursuits that allowed him to

connect with the tranquility of nature. He faithfully served in the U.S. Navy for 10 years.

Larry was known for his helpful spirit. Whether assisting a neighbor or lending a hand

to a coworker in need, his generosity knew no bounds. His community felt his loss

deeply, remembering him as a pillar of support and kindness.

Preceding him in death were his beloved wife, Kimberly Klein; his mother, LaVonne

Klein; his brother, Norman E. Klein; his sister, Mary Ann Klein-Mazzarese; his niece,

Courtney Mazzarese; his grandparents, Albert and Carol Thron, and John and Mildred

Klein.

He is survived by his son, Nicholas Klein, and daughter-in-law, Jennifer; his cherished

grandson, Elliot Klein; his father, Evan Klein, and stepmother, Linda; his brother,

Dean Klein, and sister-in-law, Sarah; his sister, Wendy C. Schrock, and brother-in-law,

Greg; aunt Shirley and uncle Ken Williams, nieces Tammy, Lynn and Lori; along with

several nephews, Zachary Klein, Evan Klein, Josh Schrock and Jordan Schrock and

many other relatives and friends who will carry forward his legacy of kindness and

generosity.

Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and celebration of Larry's life

on Friday, September 12, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Oman Funeral Home and

Crematory in Chesapeake, Virginia.

Larry's memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him, and his spirit

will continue to guide and inspire all whose lives he touched.
