Larry A. Rusk, age 77 of Crestwood, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at his home. Larry was born on February 18, 1947 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Sheldon and Betty Lane Rusk. He graduated from Eastern High School and was a star pitcher for the baseball team. Larry served in the United States Air Force after high school and was stationed in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. He married the love of his life, Claudie Pierce, in New Haven, Connecticut in 1969. Larry worked many years and retired from the US Postal Service. He was an avid fan of University of Kentucky football and basketball and was a very social person who loved to have many long conversations. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Claudie; his son, Tyler; and his daughter, Kristen.
Larry leaves to cherish his memory his loving son, Welsey Rusk; granddaughter, Vivienne Rusk; brother, Steve Rusk; and a host of relatives and friends.
Visitation will be 11am to 1pm on Monday, July 29, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40243. A celebration of Larry's life will be 1pm Monday at the funeral home, with burial to follow in Floydsburg Cemetery.
