Lawrence Muthig Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Valley Funeral Home - Appleton on Jan. 27, 2024.
Lawrence "Loren" Muthig, 37, of Appleton passed away unexpectedly Friday, January 19, 2024. He was born November 14, 1986, in Ventura California to Leslie (Les) Muthig and Terry Rowe. Known to family as Loren and friends as L.J., he made people smile and laugh. He started a moving business that he loved because he loved to be social. He loved playing disc golf, outdoor concerts, and being with friends and family. Grew up going camping with his dad and his brother, learning to fish and hunt. He recently was leaning his mother's tradition of candy making and would accompany her to play bingo.
He will be missed most for his teasing manner, his love of animals, and his love for social interactions. In heaven he will give St Peter a run for his money and his grandparents Sylvester and Geneva will be running after him like they did when he was a toddler trying to get him to stay in one place. That love of life and fun will never leave our hearts and will follow him all the way to heaven.
Loren is survived by his Father, Leslie Muthig Appleton, his mother Terry Rowe and brother, Chad Muthig both of Appleton, and his sister Allison Floyd of Neenah. His aunts and uncles, Carla (Rick) Penkala Florida, Kevin (Ginny) Muthig, Lily WI, Randy (Vicky) Phelps WI, Pam (Kenny) Kitzinger Appleton, Lisa Muthig Appleton, godfather David Bucholtz Florida, his grandmother Betty Sommers Appleton, aunts and uncles, Bethany Rowe WI, Mark (Virginia) Rowe Il., and godmother Jayne Rowe Appleton. He is survived by many cousins and extended family members as well.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Sylvester and Geneva Muthig and maternal grandfather Ernie Rowe.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 2, 2024 at 7:00 pm at Valley Funeral Home, 2211 N. Richmond St, Appleton WI 54911. Burial of cremains will be at Highland Memorial Park in Appleton, WI. Friends and family can greet Loren's family on Friday, Feb. 2nd from 3:00 pm until the time of services at the funeral home.
