Lawrence Paris Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Craft Givnish Funeral Home Inc on Oct. 1, 2025.
Lawrence B. Paris of Abington, PA, born March 23, 1929, passed away peacefully on Monday September 22, 2025 at Sunrise Senior Living. He was 96 years old.
He was the son of the Late Larry Paris and the Late Belinda Paris (nee-Angiolillo). He was the devoted husband of the late Mary Paris (nee- Casella). He was also predeceased by his sister Joanne Pistoria.
Larry grew up in the Mt. Airy section of Philadelphia Pa. As a young man he entered the Army and was stationed in Germany while serving his country. After military life he worked for Honeywell in Ft Washington, PA for over 30 years until his early retirement.
While at Honeywell he met his wife Mary, and they were together for 57 years until her death in 2024. Together they were loving parents to their three children: Albert (wife Christine), Donna Smith (husband Brian) and Lisa Amodei (husband Jerry).
He was a wonderful Pop-Pop to Vincent (wife Dorri Ziai), Julianna Paris (fiancé Colin) Christopher and Matthew Smith and Anthony John DeAngelis. He was also very proud to be a great grandfather to both Bayan and Tajalli Ziai.
Larry is survived by his sister Marie Hughes Brother Tom Paris and sister-in-law Rose Giovinazzo, as well as many nieces and nephews. Larry and Mary lived their retirement days in Avalon where they met many of their closest friends. Larry was a hunter, fisherman and loved life by the water. One of his favorite pastimes was driving to AC to play the slots at the casinos.
When they moved back to Pa to be closer to their family they settled into Sunrise Senior living where they met many nice neighbors. Larry loved playing his weekly card game and one of his hobbies was coloring, he has a collection over the last few years of his beautifully colored pictures. Larry could build anything and knew how to fix it all. He asked for so little but gave so much with his words of wisdom, our father was a man of quiet strength, his stories from his younger days were always fun to hear.
He was a gentle, giving man who worked to ensure his family had everything we needed. We could not have been more blessed to have the man we had as a father and grandfather. He was one of a kind and his quiet intelligence and unwavering love will forever remain in hearts and those who knew him.
The family will be holding a private celebration of Larrys life. He will be buried with his wife at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Cheltenham, PA.
