Lawrence E. "Larry" Pericolosi, 62, of Newington, loving husband of Lisa (Borselle) Pericolosi, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 10, 2023. Born in Hartford he was the son of Rachel (Hamlin) and the late Lawrence Pericolosi. Larry was a long time Newington resident and built many close friendships over his years here. Each and every one of his friends felt he was one of a kind and were blessed to have him in their lives. Not only was he very athletic but also became quite a pool shark, mastering the game with his buddies in the pool league. He was an avid music lover of all kinds and loved to strum along on his guitar. Larry was a master carpenter. He began learning the trade as a cabinet maker, a skill he was very proud of. He went on to own his own remodeling company with his wife Lisa for 13 years, and currently worked for his brother-in-law, Joseph Borselle, of Borselle Plumbing and Heating. He was a caring and generous man who would drop whatever he was doing to help anyone in need. He was a loving husband, father and friend and he will be dearly missed by all who knew him. In addition to his beloved wife Lisa, he leaves his children; Daphne Pericolosi of Seattle, Megan Mezzio and her husband Alex of Newington and his grandson on the way, Jack Mezzio, Nicholas Hinchcliffe of Newington and Christopher Pericolosi of Tennessee. He also leaves his mother Rachel Hamlin, his step-mother Mary Pericolosi, his sister Esterina Gentilcore and her husband Tony, and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday, February 17th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Duksa Family Funeral Homes at Newington Memorial, 20 Bonair Ave. in Newington with a funeral service taking place at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest in West Meadow Cemetery.

I had the good fortune to meet Larry about six years ago, when he remodeled my kitchen with great skill, tact, humor and kindness. He talked often about his family with love. I just learned of his death, and am deeply sorry that his death was so sudden and premature. Anne Hamilton

I can't tell you how sad we are to hear of Larry's passing. He remodeled our kitchen 10 years ago and a home office we were so pleased with the results, we wanted to contract him for further cabinet work. He was a gifted builder and had a good eye for laying out plans and interior design. Again, you have our deepest condolences.
