Lawrence W. Reichard, 93, of New Albany, passed away surrounded by his family February 6, 2025. He was born in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania. After graduating high school, Lawrence served in the United States Air Force from 1952 to 1956. He was stationed in Ohio where he met Harriet Faith Clark whom he married in 1956. He then attended college at The Ohio State University graduating in 1960 with a bachelor’s degree in fine arts. Lawrence worked for 31 years as a Commercial Artist for the United States Government.
He enjoyed painting, writing poetry, working around the house, and most of all spending time with friends and family.
Faith preceded him on December 19, 2022. Those left to cherish Lawrence’s memory include daughter, Laura (Paul) Sauer; son, Larry (Jamie) Reichard; grandchildren, Cori Reichard, Larry Allyn (Amanda) Reichard, Harlan (Bethany) Reichard, Kaci (Levi) Berkeley; great-grandchildren, Kaylee Reichard, James Harney, Wyatt Reichard, Leo Reichard, Sophia Puzzini, Peyton Reichard, Max Reichard, Elena Puzzini, Jane Reichard; and a host of family and friends.
On Friday, February 14th calling hours will be from 11:00-12:00. Service will be held immediately after. at the Newcomer’s Funeral Home, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd, Columbus, Ohio 43231.
Burial to follow at Maplewood Cemetery, New Albany, Ohio.
