Lawrence Schmeier Obituary
Larry was a loving husband to Esther (Pat) Patterson. After her passing in 1983, he later married Donna Shepley, who brought seven children into the family. Together they shared a large and loving extended family that grew to include 28 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and one more on the way.
He is survived by his children: Patricia (Richard Kubacki); Lorraine (Edward Mosca); Lawrence "Larry" Schmeier Jr.(Laurie Blanchard); Joseph (Maureen Dougherty); Edward; Susan (Bruce Besch); and Sally (Robert Skalany).
Larry retired from IBM at the age of 55 and enjoyed a long retirement filled with traveling and cruising. In more recent years, he spent much of his time playing cards and working on cross-stitch projects. He also helped organize volleyball, tennis, and card games in the park where he lived.
Larry will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his service to his country, and the time he spent enjoying the hobbies and activities that brought him happiness.
