EQCM(SCW) Lawrence "Larry" Joseph Thibault, III (Ret.)
Lawrence Joseph Thibault, III, known as Larry to all who knew him or Master Chief, of Long Beach, died March 17, 2022 at the VA Community Living Center in Biloxi, MS.
Mr. Thibault was born September 11, 1950, in Boston, Massachusetts. He retired from the U.S. Navy Seabees after 30 years of service. Larry was a retired Master Chief in the U.S. Navy where he was a Mechanic Chief for 30 years. He served in Vietnam and the Persian Gulf Wars. After retiring from the Navy, he went back to college and received his Associates Degree from MS Gulf Coast Community College and worked a couple of different jobs. He finally went back to work with the Naval Construction Training Center as the Tool Room Supervisor, retiring from Civil Service. During all this time, he was also taking care of his loving wife.
Mr. Thibault was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence J. Thibault, Jr.; his mother, Nadine A Thibault and his beloved fur baby, Bermuda.
Survivors include his loving wife of 44 years, Cheryl A. Thibault; his sister, Nancy Zabel; his sister-in-law, Penny R. (Joe) Douglas; his brother-in-law, Daniel A. Reiss; his nieces and nephews; and his very close and dedicated friends, Hal, Wendy, and Colby Cioffi.
He will be greatly missed by all who know him. He loved being outside and doing everything from taking care of his lawn to cleaning his vehicles. He helped any and everyone who came along and needed any type of help with their vehicle.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM, on Monday, April 4, 2022, at Biloxi National Cemetery. A procession to the cemetery will leave Riemann Family Funeral Home, 274 Beauvoir Rd, Biloxi, at 9:30 AM.
