Lawrence Calvin Tolbert, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on August 11, 2025, at the age of 89. Born on November 17, 1935, Lawrence lived a life filled with love, family, and faith.
For 67 incredible years, Lawrence shared his life with his loving wife, Ann Tolbert. Together, they built a family and a legacy of love, kindness, and devotion. Lawrence is survived by Ann, their daughter Regina Tolbert, brother Arthur Dewayne Wadsorth (Brenda), grandchildren Mike Thomas (Rachael), Sabrina Dobson, Catrina Ragsdale (Matt), and Sarah Atchley (Nick), and great-grandchildren Jeffrey, Chace, Shyanne, Damien, Autumn, and Destiny.
Lawrence's family was his rock, and he cherished every moment spent with them. He was a devoted member of Sharon Heights Baptist Church, where his faith guided him through life's joys and challenges.
Though he leaves behind a sorrowful void, Lawrence's love, wisdom, and legacy will continue to inspire and guide his family and friends. He is also remembered fondly by a host of nieces, nephews, and dear friends who were blessed to know him.
Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, and son Johnny Ray Tolbert.
Rest in peace, Calvin. Your love and memory will live on in our hearts.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm for a visitation at Crestview Memorial Funeral Home. A service will be held at Crestview Memorial Funeral Home on Thursday, August 14, 2025 at 1:00 pm.
