Lawrence Wilkerson Obituary
He was born in Whiteland, Indiana, on January 24, 1942, to Wayne and Lillian Wilkerson. He has three brothers, Dick (Sharon) Wilkerson, Jim (Sharon) Wilkerson, and Rusty (Teresa) Wilkerson and one sister, Darlen White.
He married the love of his life, Barbara (Axiom) Wilkerson on August 5th, 1961, and they had four sons, Todd (Lori) Wilkerson, Tony (Lisa) Wilkerson, Scott (Shannon) Wilkerson, and Kevin (Beth) Wilkerson. Lawrence has nine grandchildren, Jason (Natasha) Wilkerson, Josh Wilkerson, Tara Wilkerson, Courtney (Josh) Wilkerson, Amanda (Matt) Campbell, Brad (Adrianne) Wilkerson, Ryne (Amy) Wilkerson, Brevon Wilkerson, and Danaye (Jacob) Wilkerson as well as 12 great grandchild and one great-great granddaughter.
Lawrence was the owner and operator of Wilkerson Carpet Service for over 40 years. He was also a member of the American Legion and the Moose Lodge. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed watching and feeding the wildlife in his backyard. Later in his life he developed a love for cats, bringing home a stray and making it his best friend, Kat Wilkerson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Barbara Wilkerson; two sons, Todd and Scott Wilkerson; and his brother, Dick Wilkerson.
A special thanks goes out to Lawrence's grandson, Jason Natasha) Wilkerson for all of their help and support over the last several months. Your help during this difficult time did not go unnoticed and is very much appreciated.
Following Lawrence's wishes, there will be no viewing or funeral service. Allen Funeral Home was entrusted to the care of these arrangements.
