Karen Lynn Dick

Karen Lynn Dick, 78, passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2025, in Bloomington.

She was born on December 9, 1946, in Monroe County to Lennie and Lucille (Love) Bland.

A lifelong Bloomington resident, Karen was proud to be part of the final graduating class of Bloomington High School in 1964. She later married the love of her life, Terry Max Dick, and together they shared 56 years of marriage.

Karen worked for more than twenty years in production and packaging at Cook Medical, where she was known for her dedication and strong work ethic.

She is survived by her sons, Travis Dick (Katie) and Chad Dick (Krissy); her nieces Shelia Helms and Kim Corbin; Roger Cowden, Mark Cowden, Craig Cowden, and many extended family members and friends. Karen loved flowers-the brighter, the better-even if she often joked about having a bit of a black thumb.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Max Dick; her nephew Randy Corbin; her sister, Virgina Cowden, and her niece Sabrina Weemer.

Cremation rites have been accorded.

Visitation will be held from 4:00–6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at Allen Funeral Home and Crematory, with a memorial service to follow at 6:00 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Karen's honor.
