Jefferson "Jeff" Mueller Fredericks, 62, of Bloomington, passed away at 11:45 a.m. on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at IU Health Hospice House in Bloomington.

He was born in Saginaw, MI, on May 26, 1963, to Joann (Jones) Johannes and John Fredericks. He married the love of his life, Tresa (Kern) Fredericks on January 18, 2005.

He graduated from Arthur Hill High School in Saginaw, MI, then attended trade school and became a journeyman electrician. After moving to Bloomington, Jeff became a Master Electrician. He was owner of Affordable Electric Service in Bloomington where he was able to meet and help many people in the community. He was so proud of his success and his amazing crew.

Jeff enjoyed being outdoors, spending time with his golden retriever, Rowdy, and getting to hunt and fish; he loved fishing with his best friends, Ray Berg of Michigan, who has been a friend since childhood, and Brad (Tina) Siniard of Bloomington. He loved his "lake cabin life" on Lake Lemon. He had a need for speed and loved to collect cars- anything rare and fast, but he particularly liked Hellcats and his pride '69 Road Runner that he built with his stepfather, Jack. Jeff never met a stranger, and as a result has friends everywhere. He will be deeply missed.

While Jeff did not have biological children, he loved his stepchildren like they were his own and he adored his five grandchildren. Surviving with his wife, Tresa Fredericks, are his children, Misty (Logan) Bentley of Bloomington and Allan "AJ" (Erika) Frye of Springville; grandchildren, Matthew, Hailey, and Taylor Frye of Springville and Braylin and Trace Bentley of Bloomington; stepfather, Jack Osborn of Bloomington; aunt and uncle, Margaret and Bruce Briske of Saginaw, MI; nieces, Breanna (Brandon) Watson of Michigan and Alyssa (Erick) Stahl of Bloomington; nephew, Trent (Rachel) Friske of Michigan; brother in-law, Greg Friske of Michigan; sister in-law, Cindy Lampkins of Bloomington; parents in-law, Bob and Rose Kern of Bloomington; and Brandon (Brandy) and Angie Keeven, who he considered to be family.

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Christine Friske; and nephew, Justin Lampkins.

A celebration of life for Jeff will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at the Monroe County Fairgrounds (4-H Building) from 1-4 p.m. Allen Funeral Home and Crematory were entrusted to the care of his arrangements.

Yesterday

Tresa and family, I'm so sorry to learn of your loss. Was just thinking of calling him the other day to see how you all were ... never knew of this.
Really enjoyed talking with Jeff. He was a go getter but friendly, smart, and loyal. A good man that will be missed. Praying for your peace and comfort.
