Lazo Skoric

Lazo Skoric, age 82, long-time resident of Northlake, IL, passed away Sunday morning, January 5, 2025 in Lombard with his family at his side. Lazo was born October 5, 1942 in Gorni Strpci Donji Lapac, Croatia to the late Djuja and the late Simo; he was the beloved husband of the late Marija; loving father of Nikola (Karen) and Bozidar (Tania); cherished grandfather of Brandon and Nathan; dear brother of Smilja (Vlade) Maksimovic, Bosko (Bosa), the late Dusan (Jelka), and the late Djuka. Lazo was a long-time member of St. John the Baptist Serbian Orthodox Church. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed long walks outside, tending to his garden, manicuring his lawn to perfection, and spending precious time building things with his cherished grandsons. He will be dearly missed by his Kumovi, family and friends. Visitation Friday, January 10, 2025 12 Noon at New Gracanica Serbian Orthodox Monastery, 35240 W. Grant Ave., Third Lake, until time of Opelo (Funeral Service) 1 p.m. Interment New Gracanica Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Muzyka & Son Funeral Home.
