Leacel Gertrude Minnie age 93 of Danville passed away Friday, June 14, 2024 at Chambers Memorial Hospital.
Leacel was born May 26, 1931 in Perryville, Arkansas to the late Andrew Jackson & Evie Gertrude Williams Brend. She was a member of the Ola Church of Christ and she was a nurse at Dr. Pennington Office for 35 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband J.J. Minie; parents, Jack & Evie Brand; infant son, Eddie; son, Ronnie Allen Minnie; daughter, Eve Williams; granddaughter, Stephanie Williams; siblings, Robert "Bob", Cliff, Beachel, Tina, Irene, and Jay; son-in-law, Carroll Rose; daughter-in-law, Brenda Minnie.
Survivors include her children, Gerald Wayne & Billie Ann Minnie, Charles David Minnie, Jerry Don Minnie, Linda Sue Rose, and Eva Kay & Eddie Short; son-in-law, Jackie Williams; brothers, Jackie & Vivnetta Brand, Ben & Ginny Brand, and Midget Warren; 13 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 10:00 am Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at Ola Church of Christ with Mr. Ben Gray officiating. Visitation will be 9:00 to 10:00 am at the church before the service. Burial will be at Needmore Cemetery in Casa.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Honorary pallbearer is Dr. Phillip Tippin.
