Leah Joy Neumiller Kunze, 57, passed away at the hospital in Billings, Montana, Sunday October 12th, 2025 surrounded by her children and family. Leah was born in Poplar, Montana, on August 10, 1968, to Roy and Joy Neumiller. Leah was the youngest sibling to her brother Sheldon and sister Anita Neumiller.
Leah graduated from Malta High School in 1986, where she excelled in gymnastics and many other sports. She was very outgoing growing up, making friends wherever she would go. Over her life, Leah was a hard worker who held various jobs, including production drill sampler, waitress, and Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). However, her greatest passion was caring for the elderly and the sick. At the time of her death, she was working at Rivers Bend assisted living, where she considered her bosses, Emily and Tony, and her fellow employees to be like family. Leah's generous and caring spirit was known to all who met her. As an organ donor, Leah's passing saved four lives, and her pancreas was donated for medical research.
Leah is survived by her daughter Shayna Joy (John) and grandchildren JJ and Loni, Royce Paul Kunze, (Alana) and grandchildren Harper and Kyndall and Drasen Kelly Neumiller, her parents Roy and Joy Neumiller, brother Sheldon (Rita) Neumiller and niece Noreine. Sister Anita Neumiller (Robert) nieces and nephews Ryan, Riley, Carly and Tel. Among many other family members.
In addition to her love for her children, Leah enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, music, watching movies, solving crossword puzzles, going for drives and had an enormous love for animals. Leah was also a devout Christian and loved Jesus Christ.
In lieu of a service, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
