Leah Loebner, 74, of Annapolis, Maryland, peacefully passed away on August 13, 2025, at Anne Arundel Medical Center. Born in St. Mary's County, Maryland, to Medill Loebner and Katherine Crane, Leah was a lifelong Maryland resident who made Annapolis her home for many years.

Despite living with schizophrenia since age 18 and a spinal condition that affected her posture, Leah's vibrant love for life and people shone through. What some might have found unapproachable was, in truth, a gentle soul who cherished connection and conversation.

Leah was a gifted artist with a distinctive style, expressing her creativity through acrylic paints and her beloved black Sharpie markers. Her unique artistic vision brought beauty to the world.

A devoted believer, Leah was a faithful member of Edgewater Bible Church, where she attended services and Bible studies led by Lois Swan. Every day at 5 PM, she meditated on the word of Jesus, reflecting her unwavering faith and discipline.

Leah found joy in exploring Annapolis restaurants with her dear friend Leslie, often sharing her experiences through social media reviews. She was a beloved client of Arundel Lodge and actively participated in programs at Active Day of Annapolis. She lived at Claiborne Place on Hearn Road since April 1, 1999, and most recently at Spirit of Life Assisted Living Facility in Arnold, Maryland.

Leah is survived by her cherished friends Gieselle Goodrum, Rita Malone, Rita Johnson, Vanessa Williams, Clarence Garvin, the Foundation family, and Kirk and Leslie. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her and were touched by her artistic gifts, gentle spirit, and love of the Lord.

Services will be announced. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Arundel Lodge of Annapolis in Leah's memory.
