Leah Rae Mullins, age 74, of West Frankfort, passed away peacefully at 6:45 pm on Thursday, February 26, 2026 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Tuesday, July 10, 1951 in Herrin, a daughter of Woodrow and Martha (Patrick) Yates. She married the love of her life, Paul Lee Mullins in Herrin, on June 16, 1972. He survives her at their home.
She is survived by her loving husband- Paul Lee Mullins of West Frankfort; son- Eric Mullins of Freeman Spur; two granddaughters- Elizabeth Mullins of Marion and Alayna Bloodworth of Vergennes; brother- John (Jessica) Yates; three sisters- Brenda Bailey, Linda (David) Holland, and Cyndi (Martin) Stout; and her sister-in-law- Karla Yates.
She is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers- Carl "Bubby", Joseph, and Glenn Yates, three sisters- Elizabeth Gooden, Glenda (Ronald) Horn, and Martha May (Raymond) Horn, and her brother-in-law- Russell Bailey.
In following Leah's wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. While there will not be any formal services at this time, family and friends are encouraged to remember Leah in your own way, reflecting on the moments shared and the impact she had on your life.
