Leah Marie Self, 61, of Carrolton, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on, December 31, 2025, in Flower Mound, Texas.

Born on March 31, 1964, Leah lived a life rooted in love, faith, and heartfelt connection with others. She married her beloved husband, Jim, on September 10, 2019, and together they shared a bond centered on devotion and companionship. Leah deeply cherished her church family and found great joy in serving them. She founded a food fellowship within the church, believing in the importance of breaking bread together and strengthening fellowship through shared meals. Her love for the children of the church was evident to all, and they adored her in return. Leah's warm spirit and joyful presence had a way of lighting up every room she entered.

Leah was a loving mother who carried her children in her heart and found great meaning in her role as a mom. She also embraced her stepchildren with love and care, forming bonds that brought her joy and fulfillment. Her kindness, faith, and generous spirit left a lasting impact on all who knew her.

Leah will be remembered for her compassion, her unwavering faith, and the love she gave so freely. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished by everyone who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Travis Wayne Aills and Mary Lee Crittenden Aills

She is survived by her husband; James Self, children; Kendall Stearns, Jonathan Stearns, Jackson Self, Mackenzie Sheffield and husband Triston; grandchildren, Oliver Goss, and Elaine Goss; sister, Kelly Smith and husband Walter; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Arrangements entrusted to Guerrero-Dean Funeral Home under the direction of Aaron King, Funeral Director.

A celebration of Leah's life will be held, Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 3pm. Oak Stone Christian Church 1309 E Main St. Allen, Texas 75002. Pastors Adam Clark and Justin Glasgow, Officiating.
