Overbrook - LeAnn Croucher, 92, died on April 24, 2025, at the Brookside Retirement Community in Overbrook, Kansas. She was born on February 2, 1933, in Scranton, Kansas. The daughter of Leal and Hazel (Phillips) Isaacs, she graduated from Scranton High School in 1951. She attended Clark's Secretarial School in Topeka and was employed by Capper Publication, Topeka Air Force Depot at Pauline, and later at Bible Supply and Gift Company. She was an active member and held many positions in the Scranton Free Methodist Church for 35 years. When it closed, she attended other area churches. She was married to Glenn Croucher on January 17, 1954. Survivors include a son, Bruce Croucher (Rollene) and a daughter, Kathy (Charles) Kennedy, both of Olathe, 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and siblings including brother Tom Isaacs and sister Ferne Rogers. LeAnn loved Christian music, genealogy and studying the history of Scranton. She enjoyed pets, birding and watching NFL football. She also liked spending time visiting friends in the area nursing homes and assisted living facilities. The family would like to thank the Brookside Retirement Community for all the sincere kindness and loving care shown to LeAnn for the past 9 years. Funeral services for LeAnn will be held at The Scranton Cross Road Community Church on Wednesday, April 30 at 2:00PM. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until service time at the church. Burial will be in the Scranton Cemetery. Memorial contributions in memory of LeAnn may be made to Helping Hands Humane Society, sent in care of Feltner Funeral Home, 818 Topeka Avenue, Lyndon, KS 66451.
