On Sunday, October 6, 2024, Leann Mason, age 35, departed this life, in Petersburg, VA. Leann was born on March 14, 1989, to Sandra Mason and David Dash, in Richmond, VA. She was preceded in death by her Great Grandmother, Barbara Pulliam, Grandparents, Mr. Charlie and Eleanor Dash, and most recently an uncle, Ricky Pulliam.
Leann received her education and graduated from Dinwiddie County Public School System. Leann later continued her education at Centura College, graduating as a Dental Hygienist. She enjoyed singing, dancing and loved writing. She loved to laugh, had a good heart and a genuine love for family and friends.
She leaves to cherish her memories, a son, Javius Isiah Mason; her mother, Sandra Mason-Johnson (Arthur), her father, David Dash (Lois); Siblings, Katina Pettaway (Mike), Shauniqua Mason, Renika Starks, Devon Dash, Montiz Dash, David Dash Jr, Courtney Grant, Ebonee Ellis, Tiffani Farrar, Charmaine Farrar; Grandparent, Ernestine Johnson; Aunts, Paulette Pulliam, Audrey Crowder, Ellen Salter, Deborah Pugh, Stephanie Sanders (Randall); Uncles, Michael Dash (Sarah), William Massenburg, Warnell Massenburg, Joseph Massenburg, Raymond Pulliam, James Pulliam, Rick Johnson, John Crowder; Nieces, Sandrayas Pettaway, Keondra Pettaway, Diamond McDaniels, Sayori Smith; Nephews – Tyrell Miles, Kawil Pritchet, Treyvon Edmunds; Godmother, Shasta Walker (Dennis); Devoted friend Anthony Ortiz. She leaves a host of cousins, additional family members and friends to share her memories.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2pm, Friday, October 11, 2024 at the Petersburg chapel of Bland Funeral Home, 137 Harrison Street, Petersburg. Public visitation will be held from 12-8pm, Thursday, October 10th, 2024 at the funeral home.
