Leanne Chenevert, 50, of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at UMass Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Leanne is reunited with her sister, Kelli Chenevert Palumbo, who predeceased her in January 1994.

Leanne is survived by her loving and devoted parents, Clarence “Butch” and Linda (Laperle) Chenevert of Worcester; a sister, Kimberly Ohman and her husband Paul of Auburn; three nieces, Brianna Ohman and her partner Joey Nelson, Kennadi Hiscock and her husband Mark, and Adaline Ohman; a great nephew, Charlie Nelson and a great niece, Sawyer Hiscock; and her constant companion, Daisy. Leanne was born in Worcester and graduated from Saint Mary’s High School. She was a life-long member of Our Lady of Loreto Church.

Leanne enjoyed being with people, especially her family. Leanne spent hours on her sewing machine making wonderful creations when she was able to. She loved the boardwalk at Hampton Beach, and cherished the summers spent there. For years you could never find her without her gameboy. Two of her favorite things were Disney and the time she spent at her Adult Day Health program. Whether it was the Disney store, channel or parks, if it was Mickey Mouse themed Leanne was sure to love it. For 10 years, Leanne attended St Francis Adult Day Health program. It didn't matter if it was a craft to be made, a party or a field trip, Leanne was sure to be there and having fun.

Her family would like to thank the wonderful staff and participants at Saint Francis Adult Day Health Program especially Stacy, Jen, Maggie and Margaret.

Calling Hours will be on Tuesday, July 1, from 9 am until 11:15 am, in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester, followed by a procession to a 12 pm Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Loreto Church, 33 Massasoit Road, Worcester. Entombment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St Francis Adult Day Health Program Activity Fund.
