Leanne Mangan passed away on January 13, 2026, in Wellington, KS, at the age of 70. Born on October 27, 1955, in El Dorado, KS, to William and Beverly (Rutherford) McAdoo, Leanne was a caring and reliable presence in her Wellington community.
Leanne graduated from Kansas Wesleyan University and enjoyed a fulfilling career as a Registered Nurse at Asbury Hospital in Salina and with the Sumner County Health Department, where she served for many years with compassion and dedication to caring for others. She worked as both a public health nurse and a home health nurse, finding the latter especially rewarding. After retiring in 2009, Leanne found joy in volunteering at the Humane Society, reflecting her deep love for animals. She was also a faithful member of St. Anthony - St. Rose Catholic Church, where she served in the Altar Society and shared her faith through service.
Leanne was a loving wife to Larry Mangan, with whom she shared 48 beautiful years of marriage. They were married on November 19, 1977, at Highland Park United Methodist Church in Topeka, KS. She was also an active and devoted grandmother, attending countless activities and sporting events, demonstrating her unwavering support and adoration for her family.
Leanne is survived by her husband, Larry Mangan; son, Paul Mangan (Melissa) of Wichita; daughter, Kacee Clift (Richard) of Wellington; her beloved grandchildren, Michelle, Alex & Micaela Mangan and Alexus, RJ, Colten & Urban Clift; her brother, Gary McAdoo of Topeka, KS; and a sister-in-law, Fran McAdoo of Topeka, KS.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Beverly McAdoo, and her brother, Scott McAdoo.
A viewing and visitation will be held at Cornejo Funeral Home on Friday, January 23, 2026, from 5 to 7 p.m.
The funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at St. Anthony - St. Rose Catholic Church, 210 North B Street, Wellington, Kansas 67152. The service will be streamed on the church's YouTube page at https://www.youtube.com/@StAnthonyStRose/streams.
A private burial will take place at a later date at Prairie Lawn Cemetery in Wellington.
Memorial contributions may be made in her name and loving memory to the Wellington Humane Society Medical Fund, PO Box 494, Wellington, Kansas 67152. Contributions can be mailed or left with the funeral home.
