Lee A. Belfore 86, of Naples, FL passed away on February 5, 2023, at his residence with his loving wife by his side. He was born May 16, 1936, in Oil City, PA a son of the late Humbert M. and Dorothy (Yashinski) Belfore. He had been a resident of Bonita Springs and Naples since 1995 moving from Virginia.
He graduated from Oil City High School in 1955 and from Bucknell University in 1960 with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He was a member of the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity. He was in the ROTC and served at Fort Monmouth, NJ.
He met and married Teresa Belfore in 1959 and they have been married for 63 years.
He was employed by West Penn Power in Kittanning, PA, and Greensburg, PA as a planning engineer. In 1966, he accepted a job with the Department of Agriculture in Washington, DC. He was the Chief of the Transmission Branch. He retired after 30 years and in 1995 moved to Bonita Springs, FL. He spent much of each summer at Chincoteague Island, VA where he had a townhouse. In June of 2020, he moved to Aston Gardens in Naples, FL.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Teresa Belfore, and children, Lee A. Belfore, II (Renee) of Chesapeake, VA, Mark Belfore (Sue) of Greer, SC, Kent Belfore of North Carolina; grandchildren, Jonathon, Sara, Harry, Ben, and Jessica and his great-grandchildren, Caroline, Katie, and Greyson.
Inurnment services were held privately at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Naples, FL.
