Lee Bieschke Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Home & Crematory - Historical Downtown Chapel on Dec. 27, 2025.
In Memoriam L. A. B.
Lee Anthony Bieschke, 69, of Aurora, Illinois, departed for his eternal rest on December 25, 2025,
after a brief and dignified fight with an aggressive, metastatic cancer. It was with positivity,
courage, and determination that Lee conquered a similar 2012 diagnosis, its attempted resurgence
in 2015, and varying subsequent health challenges-none of which dampened the patient resolve
and fortitude of Joseph and Ida's youngest.
Born on June 15, 1956, in Chicagoland, Lee spent his boyhood there, accompanied by elder
siblings, Dennis and Joanne (d. 2015). Lee was academically astute, ultimately obtaining degrees
from the Illinois Institute of Technology (g. 1978), University of Texas, Austin (g. 1981), and
Southern Methodist University (g. 1985), and excelled in sport, even taking the baseball field at
the collegiate level.
Lee's was a life of hard-work and humility, and one characterized by religious devotion. He
practiced his faith for decades alongside fellow-parishioners at Aurora's Our Lady of Mercy
Catholic Church. Lee was also an invested and involved father, a compassionate husband, and an
individual of simple tastes. Chief among them were buttered noodles, late-night coffees (cut with
far too much milk and sugar for mere mortals to consume), DIY projects, and the Chicago Cubs.
Selfless to the last, Lee met the imminent finality of his terminal prognosis with grace, forsaking
inwardly-directed pity to, instead, express sympathy toward those on whom the task of delivering
the unfortunate news fell. There was no defeat when the end arrived, but victory, celebrated during
a cozy Christmas Eve at home, where Lee quietly passed, duly attended by the woman he adored
and his loyal pup, Herman.
Until that serene slumber unites them once more, Lee's wife, Rokelle ("Kelle", m. 1989), together
with his sons, Brock and Brian, their respective families (including daughters-in-law, Alexandra
and Madeline, healthy grandchildren, Caius and Freya, and grandchildren-to-be, twins Callum and
Leif, expected early-2026), Dennis, sister-in-law, Mawy, nieces, Marissa, Tammy, and Lisa, and
nephew, Frank, Jr., and the countless children now-grown, parents, and peers Lee's
professionalism, kindness, and temporal generosity touched over many years of coaching and
managerial commitment to competitive youth athletics, will carry onward Lee's inspiring legacies
for generations to-come.
Lee lived, is profoundly loved, and will be missed.
