Lee L. Buehler, age 78, a lifelong resident of Merrill, passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at Woodland Court Elder Services in Merrill. She was born on September 27, 1946, to the late Gregory and Mae (Heldt) Boushley in Merrill. Lee attended and graduated from Merrill High School. Lee married the love of her life, Rexford Buehler, on May 25, 1988, in Merrill, WI. He preceded her in death.

Lee worked as a bookkeeper at M&I Bank for many years. She supported her husband, Rex, who owned and operated Taylor Body Shop in Merrill. She cherished being a wife, mom and grandma. Lee and Rex were very social. They enjoyed local road trips and easily made friends wherever they stopped. They especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Lee’s family was important to her, but she held a special place in her heart for her grandchildren. Spending time at the lake and pontoon rides on Lake Mohawksin and the Somo River were always the highlight of the summer. Lee was known for her beautifully manicured lawn which brought her joy and a sense of satisfaction. Lee loved her Lord and Savior deeply. Her unwavering faith and reliance on God sustained her through the years. She was generous, knowing it was important to share the abundance of what God had provided her, by supporting charities and organizations whose missions were dear to her heart. Lee’s memory will forever live on in the hearts and minds of those who knew and loved her. She will be sadly missed.

Lee is survived by her children: Meredith (John) Heldt, Micah Michalski and Miranda (Kevin) Voss, grandchildren: Mason, Hunter, Grace, Ethan, Eily, Emsley, Luca and Camilla, and sisters: Lynn Burgener, Laurel (Neil) Steinagel, Noelle (Chuck) Stine and Noreen (Doug) Brandt. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband: Rex.

A private funeral service will be held at Taylor-Stine-Waid Funeral Home, 301 Eagle Drive, Merrill, with a burial to follow at Merrill Memorial Park Cemetery.

In the spirit of supporting organizations that were near and dear to Lee’s heart, in lieu of flowers, please consider donating to St. John Lutheran Church in Merrill, Food for Kids or the Hope Pregnancy Center, in Lee’s name.
